STAINED!

by pastor Lynn Walker Cowboy Country Church 4092 Norge Road 405-320-0055

Don’t you just hate it when you ruin a new shirt or a new pair of jeans; when you stain them with something that is virtually impossible to get out! I don’t spill much paint on myself anymore because I’m so messy my wife doesn’t allow me to get anywhere near a paint brush, but I still seem to always spill food on myself that has some sort of sauce on it that will not wash out. And then there is always the gel pen that leaks in the pocket of a new white shirt; especially when the preacher forgets to retract the point before inserting into the pocket.
You know, it’s like having sin in your life. We all live in a fallen world and we have all been stained by sin. Just like a stained shirt that is ruined, our lives are ruined by the stain of sin. But unlike a shirt ruined by a stain that won’t come out, the stain of sin can be removed from our lives by the precious blood of Jesus! Saved from the wages of sin (death), we can be made brand new and useful again. Back in fellowship with God and able to be called the sons and daughters of God.
But I still hear people say, “Oh preacher, you don’t know all the bad things I have done. I don’t think even God could ever clean me up!” If you’re one that thinks like that, let me assure you that’s stinkin’ thinkin’ and a lie straight from Satan. God love you no matter what you have done in the past and all things are possible with God for those who believe in Him. It’s time for you to know and believe the truth!
Cleansing by the blood of Jesus is more powerful than the stain of sin, any sin! So don’t continue to look and live in the past. Instead, believe in the blood of Jesus for the best cleansing you’ve ever had and be free from the stain, the guilt, and the condemnation of sin forever!!
Be blessed in His Word, Love, and Power
