Turnpike collision takes woman’s life


 An Oklahoma City woman lost her life in a two vehicle collision south of Chickasha on Saturday, November 11.
 The early morning crash at approximately 4:30 am happened on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike at the 72 mile marker in the eastbound lane, 8 miles south of Chickasha according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
 The investigation is under investigation as to exactly what happened and occurred between a 2009 Mercedes driven by Marshall J. Point, 35, of Lawton, who was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released and a 2022 Nissan Kicks driven by Hildreth A. Overcash, 61, of Oklahoma City, OK. She was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady Memorial Hospital then transferred to OU Medical and diverted to St. Anthony’s South, by unknown EMS service, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was pronounced dead at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK .
 A passenger in the Nissan, Janice E. Miller, 66, of Oklahoma City, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital by Chickasha EMS and transferred to OU Medical in Oklahoma City, OK by unknown EMS service. She was admitted with head and trunk internal injuries.
 The incident was investigated by Trooper Bryce Stout #806 of Troop YC. Assisted by Trooper Ryan Hayes#282 of THU, Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Grady County EMS, and Chickasha EMS.
