Early voting begins Thursday, August 3 for voters in Oklahoma for elections schedule for Tuesday, August 8th.
Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.
This election will have Chickasha residents voting on a sales tax increase to fund a new water system and other projects.
Grady County Election Board Secretary Katrina Hughes, said early voting is open to all voters. “You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board or State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections.
This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Hughes said.
Early voting is available Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the
Grady County Election Board (Voting entrance is on the South side of the building) located at 315 W
Pennsylvania, Chickasha. Hughes reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.
