A memorial service for Dysart Delano Dobbins, 60, of Chickasha, will be held by the family at a later date.

Dysart Delano Dobbins passed away on March 9, 2023 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was born April 24, 1962, in Magdalena, Texas.

He graduated from high school in Green Briar, Arkansas. In 1996, he received his associates from Seminole State College in Seminole, Oklahoma. Dysart was a veteran in the United States Navy, serving honorably on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and as a Navy reserve officer.

His friends described him as a man of many talents, always willing to help a friend in need. He will be missed.

Dysart was preceded in death by his parents, Medora Pearl (Shaw) Nowell and Robert Lloyd Dobbins; his brother, Beryl Dobbins; paternal grandparents Thomas Dobbins and Mary Franklin; and his maternal grandparents Beryl Shaw and Edna Roach.

He is survived by his children, Kayla Lynn Dobbins and Keith Aaron Townley, their mother Nancy McDaniels Dobbins; his two brothers, D’Estaing Dobbins and wife Tamera and Derek Dobbins and wife, Barbara; aunt and uncle, Elaine and Russell Miller; cousins Hugh Miller, Edie Krisa, Susan Miller, and Mary Minor.

Extended family: Jerry Nowell, Sue Dias, Shannon Montanero, Verdonna Blaine, Melody Brazell, Megan Cushman, Matt Dias, Mason Dobbins, Marten Dobbins, Micah Dobbins Milam Dobbins, Kelly Dias Erickson, Jeff Nowell, Shelly Nowell, Kim Dias Welch, Jeff Wilson, and many great-nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
