Rotary Club presents bicycles for perfect attendance

Returning to Grand Elementary after a two-year pandemic break, the Chickasha Rotary Club delivered new bikes to children in grades 2-4 last month.
The Chickasha Rotary Club is excited to announce its Roll Call incentive program is back at Grand Elementary. The Roll Call program is designed to encourage students to be in class. Students achieving a perfect attendance record during each nine-week period receive a certificate of achievement and have their names entered into a drawing to win a free bicycle complete with a helmet and lock.
Roll Call Chairman John Gorton of The First National Bank & Trust Co., said, “We are so excited to bring back the program. Adjustments were made to the program here at Grand that now allow us to present bikes to a students in grades 2-4 compared to previous years where we were only able to recognize students in grades 3-4. We feel so passionately about this cause. It’s never too early to stress the importance of being in class.”
Since the program’s inception in 2018, the club has presented more than 1,300 perfect attendance certificates and given away 95 bicycles to students in grades 2-6.
