Art Show & Wine Tasting at St. Lukes


 St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Chickasha will be hosting “Art is for Everyone” show and sale from 6:30 to 10 p.m, Friday and Saturday, June 10-11, 2022. The show, in the St. Luke’s Parish Hall at 6th Street and Kansas Ave, will feature work of 11 members of the St. Luke’s congregation.
 This surprising array of work in oil, acrylic, sculpture, books, and other mediums will be accompanied with wine, cheese and Hor d’oeuvers. Artists include: Buddy Blevins, the late Pamela Carlin, Gina Crosley, John and Glenda Crump, Jack Donellan, Pete Hammert, Bob and Carol Kulhman, the late Susan McCaughtry and Bob Powell.
 Shakespeare Wine Company, St. Luke’s soon to be new neighbor, at 524 W. Kansas, will be offering wine tasting throughout the evening. Among their offerings will be “Wilde”, a Blackberry Cabernet Sauvignon, and “Zora”, a Pineapple Pear Pinot Grigio along with others.
 Light classical music will be provided by the Reverend Bill Carlin and Mr. Jerry Hughes. The event is free and open to the public.
 The St. Luke’s Nave will also be open during the evening. Guests may enter to view Chickasha’s oldest and perhaps the most beautiful Church Auditorium in continuous use since the year 1900.
