Science & Arts’ 2022 commencement ceremony honors graduates


Grady county students among those honored at April 23 graduation event

CHICKASHA, Okla. (April 26, 2022) – The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma honored more than 170 graduates from the fall, spring and summer terms during the 2022 commencement ceremony held April 23.

Among those students were numerous graduates from Grady county, including:

  • Shaquille Barzey, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration; 
  •  Mickayla Ball, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music;
  • Brittany Berry, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history;
  • Zoe Blue, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology;
  • Maria Boyd, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry;
  • Ethan Christian, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education;
  • Destiny Dennison, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art;
  • Anna Speranza, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration;
  • Brock Henderson, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication;
  • Alexandria Miller, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology;
  • Alexis Roof, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology;
  • Brandon Shumway, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration;
  • Sharon Singoei, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration;
  • Summer-Skye Wilson, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a creative writing emphasis;
  • Jake Womack, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration;
  • Andria Wood, of Chickasha, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art;
  • Arlo Pratt, of Alex, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history;
  • Stephanie Halie, of Verden, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

“Our commencement has always been one of the highlights of my year because I can clearly see the mission of this special institution in full display in the face of these brilliant graduates and their proud families,” said President John Feaver. “Every student who walks across that stage has surmounted incredible challenges to earn where they stand today—congratulating them as they receive their bachelor’s degree has always been one of my greatest joys as the president of this institution.”

For the 2021-22 academic year, Science & Arts awarded 108 Bachelor of Science degrees, 62 Bachelor of Arts degrees and seven Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees during commencement. Three students received both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree.
