Geary Ray Green


Graveside service for Geary Ray Green of Chickasha will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the Fairlawn Cemetery.  Father John Salem will officiate.

Geary Ray Green fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 80 years of age.  He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 24, 1941 to Frank Jr. and Lorene Green.  Geary lived a long and loving life with his family; wife Clara, daughters Lorri Windom and husband Bruce, Kerri Green and Steve McKewin, and son Austin Green and wife Tracy. His family was the most important part of his life and his love of God. He married his love, Clara Hodges and they were married for 61 years.  They raised their family in New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas and Oklahoma.  Geary was a graduate of Dibble High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Animal Science from Oklahoma State University and master’s degree in Animal Nutrition from New Mexico State University.  He spent his career working in the animal science industry and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture as an Environmental Inspector after 32 years of service. Lovingly referred to as GRG by his children, he was committed to his 3 children, and granddad to his 7 grandchildren Lexi White (Bryce), Landon Thomas (Kellie), Chance Green (Paige), Ashtin Browning (Austin), Easton Green, Reese McKewin, and Jake McKewin, and great granddad to his 5 great grandchildren Landri White, Brooks White, Blakely Green, Raider Green, and Annabelle Thomas, and big brother to his 2 sisters, Carolyn Sue Graves and Debra Ann Rogers (Troy), and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He also had a love of his horses and enjoyed caring for them. He was a member of the St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City.
