Dreams Come True” Artscope Camp


The 24th annual ArtScope day camp for 8-12 year old youth is June 6-17, 2022 and will be held on the campus of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha.
 ArtScope 2022 is a way for children to experience “The Arts” from real artists and to learn how artists think and create while having fun!
 Registration is now open for the camp and the day camp is limited to only 80 participants. Any sign-ups after May 15 will incur a $20 late fee. The total fee for the two week camp is $195, which includes the $25 non-refundable deposit required with all registrations. Scholarship applications are limited and are due by May 1.  The 2022 ArtScope theme is “Dreams Come True”. Campers will experience “The Arts” based on this theme through their master class activities in Dance, Music, Theatre or Visual Arts.
 Emily Hector Godwin and Jeanie Lee are the Co-Directors of ArtScope, and Ashley Martin will serve as the On-Site Assistant. The ArtScope instructors have extensive experience as teaching and performing artists and include: Emily Hector Godwin – Dance; Landon Lewis – Music; Jess Frizzell – Theatre; and Angela Moore, Kayla Stevens, Jamie Evans – Visual Arts.
  The program begins at 9am and ends at 4pm daily. Students are to bring a sack lunch each day.
 The ArtScope camp application can be found online at www.chickashaarts.org. On the home page, click on ‘ArtScope’. The completed application may be submitted online with the $25 deposit or full camp payment of $195 OR printed, completed and mailed with payment to “ArtScope”, PO Box 505, Chickasha, OK 73023.
