Do you sometimes find yourself in a position that you just flat don’t know what to do?  I think that happens to all of us at one time or another.  You would think as we get older and wiser that we would reach a point in our lives that we wouldn’t have to experience not knowing what to do all that often.  Maybe it’s just me, but the older I get the world seems to get more complicated and confusing!!  Oh well,  God has a plan for such times and Paul wrote about it in the book of Philippians, chapter four, about how to best handle those difficult times.

First thing to do is rejoice.  It is so important that Paul said, “again I say, Rejoice.  No matter what the situation is, we can always rejoice knowing that  the Lord is always with us and is a great help in times of trouble.  Second thing, don’t worry.  Instead of worrying, Paul tells us to “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be  made known unto God”.  And what happens when you do this?  The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, take control of your thinking and don’t think about evil or ungodly things.  Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, full of virtue and things that you praise God about, THINK ON THESE THINGS!!  When you don’t know what to do, just simply do what you have learned, received, heard, and seen in God, and your heavenly Father, the God of peace shall be with you.  You can then do all things through Christ which strengthens you and you will know what to do!!   The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.
