Miranda Elizabeth Pearl Schwandt

Miranda Elizabeth Pearl Schwandt was born March 30, 2001, in Durant, Oklahoma. Miranda passed from this world on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 20.
Miranda moved around a lot with her family when she was younger. She lived in Nebraska, Missouri, Ohio, and Oklahoma. She settled in Norman, Oklahoma with her mother. Then when Miranda was adopted, she lived with her adoptive family in Lawton, Oklahoma. After she turned 18, Miranda moved to Chickasha to be closer to her mother, Alana Mays. Miranda loved life, and she found beauty in everything, like a butterfly moving from flower to flower. She found joy in Nature and the outdoors, she loved being surrounded by it. When Miranda was out in nature all she needed was a jar of peanut butter and a blanket.
Miranda was a free spirit, strong-minded and chose to enjoy life her own way. Miranda planned a career in child care. She worked as a nanny for a short time because she loved children. Another of Miranda’s joys in life was music, especially from the bands, The Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd. She lived life to the fullest, and to quote Hunter S. Thompson she was “Too rare to live, and too beautiful to die,” so God had to take her home.
Miranda is survived by her parents, Jon and Alana Mays, brothers, Joshua and Elijah Hampton, step-brothers, Jakob and Noah Mays, step-sister Jessica Linam, grandmother Tamie Fluegel, adoptive grandmother, YaYa, aunt Tara Fluegel, as well as numerous other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Alan Graham, maternal great-grandmother Louise Faulkner, and uncle Ryan Fluegel.
