He lived most of his life in the Chickasha and Rush Springs area. Ray started working in the oil and gas industry when he was just 17 years old. He was employed by Wards Drilling Service for 20 years before going to work for Marathon Oil as a consultant. Ray’s crew always enjoyed working for him and he treated them well.
Ray was a collector of antiques and vintage tractors. Ray was always going to garage sales, flea markets, and estate sales to see what he could find to add to his collection. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going on trips, and working on his farm. He grew a pumpkin patch on his farm, and he would have a pumpkin patch day with his friends and family, and he always said it was the best day of the year. Ray loved having family get togethers and cooking large meals. His favorite thing was taking his grandkids fishing, and he could often be found throwing them into the pond, teaching them how to swim. Ray will be missed dearly by all.
