Grady Memorial welcomes new providers


Grady Memorial Hospital was recently privileged to add three new health practioners to the professional staff providing medical and health services to Chickasha and Grady County. Abigail Brown– Physician Assistant, Family Practice, Amy Ferrell – Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified and, Kylie Lee─Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified. 
 Abigail Brown joins Five Oaks Family Medical Clinic as a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Emporia State University, Emporia Kansas, and went on to complete her Master of Health Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Among her many achievements, Abigail was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society, recipient of many academic scholarships, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants.
 Abigail was raised in Emporia, Kansas, and is soon to marry her high school sweetheart, Cody, in June, 2022. She enjoys cooking, baking, exercising, and playing with her two dogs, Buster and Bronze. Abigail shares, “I have always been passionate about healthcare and preventative medicine. I love family medicine because you get to work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans and help them reach their wellness goals. I am so excited to be a part of such a welcoming medical practice and cannot wait to serve the community of Chickasha!”
 Ty Pool, Vice President Physician Services and Clinics said, “Abigail Brown, PA-C will be joining our Five Oaks Primary Care Team. Abigail’s training as a Physician Assistant will be positive collaborative effect to Dr. Housman’s practice, increasing Five Oaks daily visit capacity. This collaborative relationship will result in a continued effort by Five Oaks to deliver high-quality care to our community and surrounding areas.”

 Amy Ferrell, Family Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified, graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and went on the receive her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2020. Amy Ferrell has a wealth of experience, including Triage Nursing, OR Circulator, and Contract RN. Amy is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners, and the Emergency Nurse Association. Amy, her husband, James, and their two children currently live in Yukon, but have strong ties to the Chickasha community. Amy shares, “I am very excited to be back in this wonderful community, and look forward to getting to know my patients personally, as well as, professionally.”
 Pool said, “Amy Ferrell, FNP-C will be joining our Express Care team. Amy brings over 13 years of cardiac emergency room nursing experience to our express care, and will be valued in treating acute and chronic conditions. She brings a positive go-getter attitude, and will be a big hit in our community.”

Kylie Lee was born and raised in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma Baptist University with her Bachelor of Nursing, and went on to complete her training and dissertation from Northwestern Oklahoma State University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Among her many achievements, Kylie was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, a group recognizing scholarly leaders in the nursing profession.
 Kylie and her husband, Corbin Lee, enjoy their quality life living in Chickasha with their two dogs, Maggie and Chip. She loves hiking, traveling, and has a strong passion playing soccer. Kylie is thrilled to start working at Five Oaks Medical Clinic, and shares “I am excited to serve the people of my hometown and start my practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Chickasha.”
 Pool said, “Kylie Lee, DNP, APRN, FNP-C will be a valued addition to our Five Oaks Primary Care Team. Kylie has been a part of our Grady Memorial’s staff in various roles since 2014, most recently as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Kylie is passionate about her community, and is excited to start her career as a provider in collaboration with Dr. Coppedge at Five Oaks.”
