James Cleve Brookshire was born in Pampa, Texas on September 8th, 1967 to Joann and Thomas Brookshire. A graveside service for James, 54 of Chickasha was held Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Verden Cemetery.
 James lived in Chickasha, Oklahoma most of his life and had attended and graduated from Anadarko High School.
 Following high school he served his country in the United States Army where he served in desert storm.  
 After his service he became a truck driver. James was a father, husband, brother, son and a papa. He loved to be with his family and loved what he did in his lifetime.
 He is preceded in death by his mother Joann, father Thomas, uncle Donald, brother Robert, mother- in-law Gwendolyn Sue Burleson I, nephew Bradley Seward and daughter Gwendolyn Sue Burleson II.
 James is survived by son James Brookshire and wife Samantha and their 5 children; son Robert Burleson and wife Kailey and their 3 children, daughter Keagen Seward; daughter Ashley Roach and husband Josh and their son. He is also survived by wife Bonnie Brookshire and 2 brothers Tony and Timothy Brookshire. James has many many family members and friends that he is survived by.
 James loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved being with grandkids and his kids. James made an impact on everyone who knew him. He is always going to be missed and loved.
