Daniel “Park” Parker Anderson


Daniel “Park” Parker Anderson, of Alex, OK, was born May 5, 1958, in Chickasha, OK to Charles Leslie Anderson, Sr., and Juanita Nadine (Idle) Anderson. He passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in Lindsay, OK, at the age of 63.
 Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Alex High School, Alex, Oklahoma. Interment will be at the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
 Park was raised with his siblings on the farm and went to school in Alex where he graduated in 1976.  
 Park married Beth Ann Whitt on August 12, 1977, at the Alex United Methodist church. The family made their home in Alex where their three girls were raised.
 He attended USAO and OU and was just shy of receiving his degree in petroleum engineering when he decided to move back home and work on the farm.
 Park was a farmer, geologist, husband, father, son, and friend. He spent his years in service to the community as a volunteer firefighter, serving on the Alex Board of Education and the Grady County Soil Conservation board, and as a member of the church of Christ.
 Many of his greatest memories included being a little league coach for his girls, farming with his family, and telling stories about the friends he met in the oilfield.
 He gained three sons when his girls got married and finally having some other guys around was very special to him. Park adored his whole family but had an extra special love for his four grandkids. He took every opportunity to teach them about patience, hard work, and kindness. He was known as a quiet, kind, and gentle man who would also tell it straight if needed. He would help anyone in need whenever he could and will be missed by many.
 He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nadine Anderson; sisters, Charlene and Gail; brother, Charles Leslie Anderson, Jr.; uncle, George Anderson; mother-in-law, Patsy Quire; father-in-law, Jim Whitt; brother-in-law, Jimmy Whitt.
 Park is survived by his wife Beth Ann (Whitt) Anderson; daughters; Nicole Bauman and husband, Nathan, Courtney Green and husband, Shamar, Hailey Dunn and husband, James; four grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Goyne of Alex, OK; a nephew, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
