D.A. Jason Hicks to speak at Grady County GOP meeting


Following a holiday recess, the Grady County Republican Party is gearing up for an election cycle year.
 In 2022 Oklahoma voters will elect the Class III U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, the Governor of Oklahoma, the Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma, the Attorney General of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector, the Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Oklahoma State Treasurer, 1 of the 3 Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners, the Oklahoma Commissioner of Labor. the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner, all of its seats to the House of Representatives, all of the seats of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, 24 of 48 seats in the Oklahoma State Senate, and other local and municipal offices.
 The Grady County GOP offers interesting and informative speakers, opportunities to visit with elected officials, those who are seeking office along with information regarding legislative issues being discussed.
 The Grady County party under the leadership of Chairperson Carrie Bertrand furnishes a complimentary dinner at 6:30 prior to the 7:00 pm meeting on the third Thursday of each month. The meetings are usually completed by 8:30 pm.
 Featured speaker this month will be Jason Hicks, State Attorney for District 6 which includes Caddo, Stephens and Jefferson Counties along with Grady County. Also in attendance will be Tina Harmon from the District Attorney’s Council.
 The agenda will include plans to build the Republican Party in Grady County and how volunteers in the group can help.
 Meetings are held at Bible Baptist Church, 226 South 29th in Chickasha. All Grady County Republicans are invited to attend.
