Improper U-turn reason for collision


 A two vehicle colission occured on Friday, January 7 at approximately 8 am approximately 8 miles west of Minco on OK 152 and County Street 2750.
 According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2008 Ford Pickup driven by Michael G Roper, 67, of Hinton, Ok.was east bound followed by a 2019 Chevy Van driven by William C. Bartlebaugh, 62, of Fort Cobb, Ok. The 2008 Ford Pickup had pulled onto County Street 2750 and was attempting to make a u turn to head back west. The 2019 Chevy Van hit the Ford in the drivers side of the vehicle.
 Roper was transported by Tuttle EMS to OU Medical Center admitted in serious condition with internal injuries. Bartlebaugh was transported POV to Integris Canadian Valley in Yukon where he was treated and released.
 Cause of the accident was listed as Improper U-Turn. The driver of the Ford was pinned for approx. 40 minute was freed by Minco Fire Department using jaws of life.
 The incident was investigated by Trooper Brent Tucker #G775 , assisted by Trooper Tyler Shelby #G619, Minco Police Department, Minco Fire Department, Tuttle EMS, Medic West EMS, and Cogar Fire Department.
