Medical condition to blame for collision


 A medical issue resulted in a single car collision with a road sign and a trip to the hospital.
 According to a report filed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by Treva J. Buchanan, 42, of Chickasha, Oklahoma was traveling eastbound on US-62 when the vehicle departed the roadway to the left and struck a road sign. The vehicle then crossed over westbound lanes and struck another sign.
 Buchanan was transported by Grady Co EMS to Grady Memorial Hospital and transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted in stable condition with injuries not pertaining to the collision. However, She later passed away.  
 Two juveniles, ages 11 and 14 of Chickasha were in the vehicle at the time of the collision but were uninjured.
 The accident happened about 8 am on Monday, December 13.
 The incident was investigated by Trooper Steven Mitchell #673 of the Grady County Detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Lt. Thomas Setters #115 of Troop G, Trooper Jacob Dickinson # 515 of the Comanche county Detachment of Troop G, Trooper Sonner Harmon #388 of the Comanche county Detachment of Troop G, Chickasha Police Department, Chickasha Fire Department and Grady County EMS.
