Marlow women injured in accident


 Two Marlow women were admitted to the hospital following a collision between their Buick and a Dodge Ram occurred on Thursday, December 9th approximately 4 miles east of Lawton on Trail Road and Cache Road.
 Kaylee A Shepard 22 years of age, of Marlow, was transported by Kirks EMS to Comanche County Memorial Hospital where she was admitted in poor condition with head and leg injuries.
  Her passenger, Joy B Shepard 55 years of age, of Marlow, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center. Admitted in critical condition with head, trunk external, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries.
 Kaylee Sheppard was traveling east bound on Cache Rd approaching the intersection of Cache Rd and Trail Rd. in her 2004 Buick Century and 2004 Dodge Ram driven by Kyle E Byington, 36 years of age, of Elgin was north bound on Trail Rd.
 The Buick struck the Dodge Ram in the intersection. After impact, the Buick departed roadway to the left striking a fence and striking a tree coming to rest.  
 After impact, the Dodge Ram departed roadway to the right striking a fence and rolling one time coming to rest on its wheels. Byington refused medical attention.
 Kaylee Shepard was pinned for approximately 30 minute before being freed by on scene fire departments.
 The incident is being investigated by Trooper Jacob Dickinson #515 of Traffic Homicide Unit, Assisted by Trooper Morgan Harp #938 of the Comanche County detachment of Troop G, Trooper Sheldon Glass #355 of the Stephens County detachment of Troop G, Trooper Bryce Stout #806 of Troop YC, Comanche County Sheriffs Office, Kirks EMS, Air Evac , Valley View Volunteer Fire Department, and Cox’s Store Volunteer Fire Department.
