Lloyd L. Parrett


 Lloyd L. Parrett was born in Bartlesville, OK to Dee and Katherine Parrett on September 13, 1930. Lloyd, 91, of Tuttle, OK, made the transition to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 4, 2021 after an extended illness.
 Funeral service were held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Tuttle Church of the Nazarene and burial was in Tuttle Fairview Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Bill Boles and Rev. Glenn Pack. Services were directed by Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle, OK.
 His early education was in Bartlesville and Dewey, OK, and he obtained his GED while serving in the United States Army. He attended Bartlesville Wesleyan College and later received an Honorable Doctorate of Divinity from a school in Haiti, MO.
 In 1947, Lloyd enlisted in the Army and served in Guam during the Korean Conflict. On completion of his military duty, he met and married Norma Puckett after dating only three months. They were married 69 years and 8 months with an even greater love for each other at his passing.
 Having felt a call to pastor on his life, in 1961, Lloyd took his first pastorate in Fairfax, OK and subsequently pastored in Weatherford, OK, Tuttle, OK, and Moberly, MO, retiring in 1996. He held many revivals and served as interim pastor in several churches before his death. He was a conservative holiness minister who loved the Lord with all his heart. Preaching was his passion. While in his short stay in a nursing facility, he was seen still trying to preach though words were often inaudible. One of his home health nurses asked him to pray the sinner’s prayer with her.
 Preceding Lloyd in death was his dad Dee Parrett, mom Katherine Parrett, 2 brothers, Robert and Don, sister Jean Shipley, daughter Sherrie Sibit, and granddaughter Bobbie Robinson.
 Survivors include his wife of the home Norma, daughter and son-in-law Connie and Tim Lingle of Tuttle, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. His sister-in-law, Kay Parrett, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive Lloyd.
