Thanksgiving Day collision sends 2 to hospital


 A two vehicle collision one mile west of Alex sent two to Grady Memorial Hospital on November 25 according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
 The reports showed that at approximately 4:42 a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Justin Bennett, age 29, of Oklahoma City, OK. and a 2015 Ford Focus driven by Albert Parker, age 84, of Bradley, OK. collided on Highway Oklahoma 19 at County Road 2910’
 The Jeep was northbound on the county road and failed to yield to the Ford which was eastbound on 19. The Jeep pulled in front of the Ford and was struck on the drivers side.
 The Jeep driver, Bennett was not injured but Parker was transported by private vehicle to Grady County Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released with trunk internal injuries.
 His passenger, Benita Parker, age 82, of Bradley, OK. was transported by Chickasha EMS to Grady County Memorial Hospital then transported to OU Medical in OKC where she was admitted with trunk internal injuries and listed in critical condition.
 Cause of the accident is under investigation by Trooper Michael Jewell #534 of the Grady County detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Grady County Fire, Chickasha EMS and Alex Fire Department.
