Wahlella Moynihan was born January 14, 1942 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Shon and Lillie Mae (Stanley) Bradley. She passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, with her family by her side at her home in Rush Springs. She was 79.
Services were held Thursday, October 28, at the First Assembly of God Church in Rush Springs with Pastor Tom Lemke officiating. Interment was at Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Wahlella graduated from the Chilocco Indian School. She participated in the Nursing Program at Cameron University for two years.
She married Ross Waples Anderson in 1960. Following his death, she married Edward Dennis Moynihan in 1965.
She was an accomplished artist and loved to do oil painting and crocheting. She cherished her Native American heritage and celebrated it through her artwork and jewelry designs in the later years of her life. She also enjoyed singing. Wahlella loved the Lord and talking about her faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Wahlella is survived by her children: Diedre and husband Brian Hale of Rush Springs, David and wife Tracy Moynihan of Cushing, Shon and wife Paula Moynihan of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Marion and husband Nicholas Hodge of Yukon; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Fred and wife Dovie Bradley of Cosby, Tennessee; and sister, Rebecca and husband Mark Schultz of Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shon and Lillie Mae Bradley; husband, Ross Anderson; husband, Edward Moynihan; son, Lee Anderson; great grandson, Ronen Hale; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
