Sharon Pennington


Funeral service for Sharon Pennington will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha.  Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.

Sharon was born the daughter of Glen Dwayne Grissam and Carol A. Cuellar on April 3, 1963 in Lindsey, OK.  She died on November 7, 2021 in Yukon, OK.

Ralph and Sharon started their second marriages on September 14, 1990 with their five sons.  When Ralph and Sharon got together Ralph would sing the song “Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On” when they heard it on the radio.  Sharon loved to crochet and watch old television shows  like Perry Mason with Ralph.  She also watched the History Channel and loved listening to the 70’s music.  She worked at McDonald’s and as a cook at a nursing home until Ralph asked and begged her to be a full time housewife.  She didn’t care about the military, but she supported her husband and three sons that served and retired from the military and the one that is still serving.

Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Hazel Grissam and Henry and Beulah Cuellar, mother Carol A. Rodgers and grandson Sirus Pennington.

Sharon is survived by her husband Ralph L. Pennington, Jr., son Ralph Pennington, III and wife Kim, son Joseph Pennington and wife Brianna, son Tommy J. Holley, son Billy Holley and wife Tami, son Ricky Holley and wife Candice, parents Glen and Karen Grissam, sister Valorie Madron and husband Troy, sister Donna Sestak, sister Jennifer and husband Pumba Botha, brother Glen D. Grissam, Jr. and wife LeAnn, sister Misty Brake, sister Megan Grissam, sister Hannah Brake and brother Cory Brake.  She has 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with three more on the way, whom she loved very much.  She also had many nieces and nephews and best friend Beverely Walthall.
