Funeral services for Matthew Gene Adair, 48, of Chickasha, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Matthew Gene Adair was born on December 25, 1972 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Roy Lee Adair and Donna (Stavig) Adair. He died on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Matt grew up in Ninnekah and attended Ninnekah Schools and Canadian Valley Technology Center, where he was student of the year twice. He worked as a machinist at Stallion Trailer in Chickasha and as a mechanic. He had an amazing talent and could fix anything mechanical.

On July 22, 1994, he married Denise Williams in Chickasha and they shared 27 years together, raising their children in Ninnekah.

Matt liked fishing, riding his motorcycle and junkin’. He had a great sense of humor, a huge heart and was great with kids and animals.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Roy Adair and his uncle Steve Stavig.

Survivors include his wife Denise and daughter Chelsea Adair of the home; son and daughter-in-law Nathen and Mika Adair and grandson Brantley Adair all of Chickasha; mother Donna Adair of Ninnekah and her fiancé Bobby Lee Martinez; brother Anthony “Tony” Adair and his wife Cheryl of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; nieces and nephews Candice Thomason, Bryan Lee Adair, Christopher Adair and Ashley Adair; and other extended family and friends.
