Marilyn Stevens


 Marilyn Stevens was born on August 7, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona to Lee and Rosalyn (Silverhorn) Stevens. She made Anadarko her home and made her Heavenly journey on October 13, 2021.
 Graveside services were Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Red Stone Cemetery, west of Anadarko. Services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
 Marilyn was employed with Silver Crest and Physician’s Hospital prior to beginning her career with the Lawton Indian Hospital Dental Department in 1997. She transferred to the Anadarko IHS Dental Department with 24 years of service. She was a member of the Kiowa Tribe and San Carlos Apache descent.
 Marilyn enjoyed cooking for and taking care of her family. She was “the glue” to the family. She loved to travel, try new restaurants and shop for others.She brought joy and happiness to all in her presence. Marilyn was the life of every gathering. there is not a moment in our memories that does not contain laughter. Marilyn was a kind and generous person who never met a stranger. She was a blessing to each of us and her presence will be missed tremendously.
 She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosalyn Stevens; aunts: Ruth Silverhorn Tofpi, Velma Silverhorn and Bessie Ahhaitty; uncles: Leonard Silverhorn, Billy Jo Silverhorn and Bo Silverhorn; special cousin, Kay Ahhaitty.
 She is survived by her son, Trevor Stevens, the joy of her life; father, Lee Stevens; brothers: Ken Stevens, Larry “Xie” Stevens, Chris Stevens and Shawn Silverhorn; sisters: Diane Stevens and Elaine Stevens; nieces and nephew; granddaughters who affectionately called her “YaYa”: Rosie and Marci; her fur baby, Sweety along with many cousins, aunts and countless friends. Marilyn will be greatly missed.
