Accident claims life of Chickasha man

A single vehicle rollover accident in Grady County took the life of a Chickasha man Monday, September 27.
 According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports, a 2002 Chevrolet truck driven by Marty F. Smith, 61 years of age and a residence in Chickasha was east bound on OK-92 and for unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line and departed the roadway to the left, going thru a fence and then hitting a pole, then a stump that caused the vehicle to become air-born and roll an unknown number of times, coming to rest on its wheels and ejecting driver 33 ft. from the vehicle.
 The 3:51 pm incident is being investigated by Trooper Zachary Johnson G404 of the Comanche County detachment of Troop G. Assisted by Captain Joe D. Williams G059 of Troop G, Trooper Jason Riddle U944, Trooper Michael Brady Y546, Pioneer Fire Dept, Chickasha Fire Dept, Chickasha EMS, and Grady County Sheriff’s Office.
