Contractors now picking up limbs from ice storms

Downed trees and limbs from the October 2020 ice storm still plaques many Chickasha residents with limbs and brush piles lined along city streets.
The City of Chickasha has now contracted with a private company to pick up reaming limbs. Larger trucks with grapplers are picking up larger debris now, and smaller trucks will follow to gather smaller branches that the larger trucks could not pick up.
Mayor Chris Mosley in a Facebook post said that the trucks will be working all streets in the city.
Should residents can drop off limbs at Public Works, during regular hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to noon and from 1 pm to 5 pm. A proof of residence must be shown with a City of Chickasha utility bill.
