Edith Lauvhon Todd McAdams


Edith Lauvhon Todd McAdams entered her Heavenly home on January 19, 2021. She was born July 28, 1937 to Melton and Lucy Todd. 

Edith grew up in Cox City and graduated from Cox City High School. She married Lewis Hatchett and from this marriage they were blessed with three children, Jan, Dawna, and Todd. 

She later married Curtis McAdams, Jr. in May of 1974. They were blessed with 39 years of marriage prior to Curtis’s passing in 2013. 

Edith worked as an LPN for over 20 years at Grady Memorial Hospital prior to retiring in 1996. Her family meant everything to her, as well as her constant companion, her yorkie Bill. Edith loved visiting with everyone she met. She was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church and brought joy to many other fellow members. 

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Melton and Lucy Todd; husband, Curtis McAdams, Jr.; sisters, Geneva Evans and Della Beggs; and brothers, Melton (Cotton) Todd and Floyd Lee Todd. 

Those left to continue her legacy include her children, Jan Pamplin and husband Tommy, Dawna Dorough and husband Bruce, and Todd Hattchett and wife Loretta; grandchildren, David Pamplin, Amber Horrell and husband Chad, Cassidy Standridge and husband Jared, Holly Kruta and husband Keith, Brandice Gallagher, Jameson Hatchett, and Hillary Hatchett; and her twin siblings, Jim Todd and wife Pat and Shirley Wright and husband Leon. In addition, Edith is survived by 16 great grandchildren, her beloved Yorkie, Bill, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Services are 2:00pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Norge.  Condolences may be shared at www.ResthavenOKC.com.
