Hundreds helped by food box give away

On Monday, October 19th nearly 200 cars drove to the Grady County Fairgrounds to receive free boxes of food offered by the regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in partnership with the Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry.
By the end of the evening, 218 families representing 858 individuals were given boxes of food. Most received four boxes: A box of canned goods, a box of fresh meat, a box of fresh vegetables and a box of cookies and crackers.
A special thank you to all the volunteers who helped load boxes. Most likely another mobile food delivery will be scheduled later in the autumn or early winter.
