Tracy Byrd, a Texas native with over a quarter century of crowd pleasing hit songs, will be appearing at Legends Event Park on Friday, October 2nd.
The 7 pm show will feature local artists First Look Band and Southern Hwy Band as well.
Gates open at 6 pm according to promoter Fred Mcnatt, and parking is inexpensive.
“You will want to come early, find you a good spot and enjoy all of the excitement of an outdoor concert.” said McNatt.
McNatt said some recent concerts have had as many as 700 in attendance. This show will bring out the traditional country fans to see this amazing artist.
Byrd who lives in Beaumont, Texas with his wife Michelle and three daughters, has been touring regionally after taking some time off to be at home with his family. He has a new band, The ByrdDawgs and have been playing mostly in the Texas and Louisiana region.
Byrd got into a singing career when one of his friends coaxed him into singing a cover of Hank Williams’ “Your Cheatin’ Heart” at a local mall recording studio. The owner of the studio was so impressed with his version that he entered Byrd into a local talent contest. Byrd signed with MCA Records in 1992.
In 1994, he made a cameo appearance in the film Radioland murders.
Tracy Byrd became a household name on the Country Music Scene in 1993 when his third single, called “Holdin’ Heaven”, off of his MCA Records, self-titled debut album, hit #1 on the Billboard Country Charts. The Album also included the remake hit of Johnny Paycheck’s “Someone to Give my Love to” cementing Byrd as a Traditional Country Troubadour!!
